Marimba Hire
OSASA has four large marimbas and two sets of six mini marimbas that were made here in South Australia by a local woodworker. Instruments can be borrowed on a term by term basis by current OSASA Community members.
Pick up and return of hire instruments will no longer be from our workshops at Fullarton Park Centre unless prior arrangements are made and have been agreed. All hires will now be from Unley Primary School music room. Drop off and collection times will be negotiated to suit all parties. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact OSASA and our Marimba coordinator will be in touch to discuss.
Details of the hire periods are below.
Term 1 hire
Pick up instrument/s at the end of Term 1 Workshop on Saturday 21 February, 2026.
Return at the beginning of the Term 2 Workshop (between 8:00am and 8:30am) on Saturday 23 May, 2026.
Term 2 Hire
Pick up instrument/s at the end of the Term 2 Workshop on Saturday 23 May, 2026.
Return at the beginning of the Term 3 Workshop (between 8:00am and 8:30am) on Saturday 1 August, 2026.
Term 3 Hire
Pick up instrument/s at the end of the Term 3 Workshop on Saturday 1 August, 2026.
Return at an agreed time during Week 4 of Term 4 (2 – 6 November 2026).
We will be in contact to arrange a suitable time.
Term 4 Hire
Contact us if you are wishing to hire in term 4 as special conditions may apply.
A deposit of $150 is required prior to hire, however, $100 will be refunded once the instrument(s) is returned in good condition. The conditions of hire are listed in the online booking form (below) and must be agreed to by your School Principal.

OSASA offers its members the chance to hire melodic percussion instruments.
A set of 6 mini marimbas will give 6 students an instrument each.
Hire cost is $150 with $100 being refunded if the instruments are returned on time and in good working order.
Conditions of Hire
If you would like to hire our marimbas, you and your principal will need to agree to the following conditions:
* The hire periods are detailed on the Marimba page of our website
* The hiring school is responsible for any loss or damage to the instruments. Replacement cost for mini marimbas is $400 each.
* The hire cost of $150 is payable by credit card when the booking is made.
* $100 will be refunded to the Credit Card that has been used to make the purchase if the marimbas are returned on time and in good condition).
